The board of directors of the Islamic Bank of Britain Plc ("IBB" or the "Bank") (AIM: IBB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Abdul Hakim Al-Adhamy as a non-executive director of the Bank effective from 1st October 2007.
Mr. Al-Adhamy (aged 61) has served as a partner in the audit and advisory department of KPMG Bahrain since 1997. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, having been admitted to membership in 1977. Mr. Al-Adhamy also holds a BA in commerce from Baghdad University.
Mr. Al-Adhamy has no current or previous directorships. IBB confirms that there are no other matters requiring disclosure in relation to Rule 17 and Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules.
