ISLAMIC BANK OF BRITAIN PLC (the 'Company')
Holding in Company
The Company was informed on 9 March 2006 that Qatar International Islamic Bank
('QIIB') has reduced its shareholding in the Company by transferring 11,500,000
ordinary shares to Qatar Islamic Insurance Company ('QIIC'). As a result of the
transfer, QIIB holds 61,299,155 ordinary shares representing 14.63% of the
current issued share capital of the Company and QIIC has become a significant
shareholder of the Company, holding 20,657,972 ordinary shares of the Company
representing 4.93% of the current issued share capital of the Company.
