Sheikh Dr. Abdul Sattar Abu Ghuddah holds the positions of Shariah Advisor and Director of the Department of Financial Instruments at Al-Baraka Investment Co. of Saudi Arabia.
He holds several degrees in Islamic Law from different universities including Damascus University and Al Azhar University in Cairo where he obtained his PhD in Islamic Law.
He is an active member of the Islamic Fiqh Academy in Jeddah and the Accounting & Auditing Standards Board of a number of Islamic Financial Institutions.
Dr. Abdul Sattar teaches Fiqh, Islamic studies and Arabic in Riyadh and has performed the valuable task of researching information for the Fiqh Encyclopaedia complied by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Kuwait.
He was a member of the Fatwa Board at the Ministry from 1982 to 1990.
